AHT Funding Appeal

Dear Devotee,

Namaskar and may Ishwar’s blessings be with you and your family. It is a year since the journey of AHT started and we would like to thank you for joining us on this journey by becoming a member of AHT.

Hopefully over the past year you have seen and taken part in the pujas, events and festivals that AHT has organised for the community such as:

  • Monthly Pujas including:

o Ganesh Utsav

o Saraswati Puja

o Seetha Rama Kalyanam Utsavam

  • Events such as badminton tournament to raise funds for the Temple.
  • Spring Festival of colours to engage all of the Aylesbury community.

AHTT has come a long way from when we started. We now have just over £30,000 in our building fund. However we still have a very long way to go to achieve our vision of having a Hindu Temple in Aylesbury. The type of options we are looking at to achieve our vision is renting/leasing a place, site/land availability, securing a mortgage etc. As I am sure you realise, one of the critical things we need is funds. To give you an example of our position, there is currently and ex-service club currently on sale at £ 750,000 + Vat but we are not in a position to bid for it or anything similar.

It is said that God helps those who help themselves. We are therefore humbly requesting each AHT devotee family to donate on a regular basis to the Temple Building Fund by way of a Bank Standing Order. The suggested amount is £10 per month but are happy to accept any amount (higher or lower) that you donate via Standing Order towards this worthy and holy cause.

To put into perspective what we are asking for, £10 roughly equates to :

– 33 pence a day.

– 1 Starbucks Coffee a week.

– 1 Cinema ticket a month.

– 2 Happy Meals at McDonalds

Our target is to get 150 Hindu families to donate at least £10 per month by the end of 2019 and we hope you will help us towards reaching that target. The details of the Temple Building Account are as follows :

Bank Metro Bank

Sort Code 23-05-80

Account No. 28993255

Please rest assured that AHTT will regularly communicate with its members and keep them abreast of all relevant developments.

We would like to conclude by thanking you for your good wishes and support of AHT and its vision to have a Hindu Temple in Aylesbury and we look forward to seeing you during our forthcoming events and monthly pujas.

Yours Humbly

AHT Fund Raising Committee
