About AHT
Aylesbury Hindu Temple (AHT) is the primary Hindu organisation in Aylesbury and surrounding areas, whose vision is to have a temple in Aylesbury which will provide a spiritual base for current and future generations of Hindu.
AHT was formed in 2018 and since then has held major religious, cultural and community events such as Ganesh Chaturthi, Maha Shivratri, Seeta Rama Kalyanam, Jagannath Rath Yatra, Holi – Spring Festival of Colours, medical seminars and food collections for Aylesbury Food Bank.
We are recognised by the Bucks County Council as the voice of the Hindu community and actively engage with them via multiple channels. One of our recent engagements was on Covid-19 messages they were sending to the Indian community in Hindi, Gujrati, Tamil, Punjabi etc.
Why Register with AHT
- It will help shape important decisions about the social, cultural and religious services AHT offers to the Hindu and wider community.
- Develop cohesion within the Hindu community so that our voice and views can be represented at local government.
- Share ideas to bring the community together be it religious, cultural or social.
- Receive update on upcoming events and local information.
- Nominate yourself as a volunteer (seva) at AHT events.
- Registration is free. No membership fee involved.
One of the primary areas we will be focussing on are young people. As part of this engagement we have some young AHT ambassadors who will be looking to see how young Hindus would like to engage with AHT.
Thank you in advance for your participation.
Take care and stay safe.
